Egypt features a media landscape which has witnessed many changes since the January 25 revolution in 2011. Television is still the main popular medium but digital media have witnessed a remarkable growth, and many media entities started to modify their traditional business models to gain higher reach.

Public print media is accountable to the National Council for Print Media, Public broadcasters are accountable to the National Council for Broadcast Media, and all the Supreme Council for Media Regulations monitor the performance of both public and private media. The three regulatory bodies are accountable to the parliament.
