Laura Silvia Battaglia
is an Italian freelance journalist living between Italy and Sanaa, Yemen. She contributes from Sanaa for several international media outlets. She has focused on reporting from conflict zones since 2007, including Lebanon, Israel and Palestine, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Iraq, Iran, Yemen and the Syrian border
She has authored video documentaries, an e-book and a graphic novel. She has been a visiting lecturer since 2007 on the Masters course in journalism at the Catholic University in Milan and at Vesalius College in Brussels (Executive course in Global Risk Analysis and Crisis Managment) since 2016
